What is Cyberinfrastructure?
Cyberinfrastructure is shared high speed networking, high performance
computing, large scale storage, data center facilities, infrastructure
software, staff, policies, and procedures for operational support for these
resources.
Cyberinfrastructure is the information technology that enables scientific
inquiry, and is required to support the research efforts of the state of
Arkansas. Cyberinfrastructure is an environment that supports
and complements related technology efforts and application in the state.
Funding for the Arkansas Cyberinfrastructure External Advisory Committee was
provided by the National Science Foundation.
Funding for the Arkansas Cyberinfrastructure Strategic Plan was provided by
Governor Beebe through the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority
