MERLOT
(Multimedia
Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching)
MERLOT is a leading edge, user-centered, searchable collection of peer
reviewed and selected higher education, online learning materials,
catalogued by registered members and a set of faculty development support
services. MERLOT’s vision is to be a
premiere online community where faculty, staff, and students from around the
world share their learning materials and pedagogy.
SHODOR
Shodor, a national resource for computational science education, serves
students and educators nationwide.
Its mission is to improve math and science education through the use of
modeling and simulation technologies – “computational science.”
SREB
(Southern Regional Education Board)
Founded in 1948, the Southern Regional Education Board is a nonprofit,
nonpartisan organization that works with leaders and policy-makers in 16
member states to improve pre-K through postsecondary education.
Through many nationally recognized programs and services, SREB’s
mission is helping states achieve the 12 Challenge to Lead Goals for
Education.
TeraGrid
The TeraGrid is an open
scientific discovery infrastructure combining leadership class resources at
eleven partner sites to create an integrated, persisten computational
resource.
Using high-performance network connections, the TeraGrid
integrates high-performance computers, data resources and tools, and
high-end experimental facilities around the country.
Researchers can also access more than 100
discipline-specific databases.
With this combination of resources, the Teragrid is
the world’s largest, most comprehensive distributed cyberinfrastructure for
open scientific research.
