Our Membership

ARE-ON offers membership to qualified entities in Arkansas, including institutions of higher education, healthcare, and public safety. Prospective members must meet criteria based on the value the organization brings to ARE-ON's core mission and the eligibility of the organization to receive services through a state entity.

The ARE-ON Network

The ARE-ON Network is a purpose-built, highly resilient fiber-optic network across Arkansas, with significant points of presence in Tulsa, OK, and Dallas, TX. When you connect to the ARE-ON network, you have up to 100G, 10G, or 1G unlimited bandwidth with direct access to tier-1 internet services, national research networks like Internet 2, and low-latency access cloud service providers. Members connecting with ARE-ON within Arkansas also have access to private and high-bandwidth connections to other members and vendor partners.

Cloud Connections

ARE-ON’s network provides friction-free access to national points of presence for internet content providers through direct peering and partnerships with Internet2. Members can get private, multi-gigabit connections to public cloud infrastructure like Azure and AWS or low-latency public connections with no extra configuration at your institution.
